Prospective Students
Students wishing to enroll at Mountain Vista Governor's School must submit an application and be accepted by their local school division selection committee. Application packets may be downloaded from local school division websites in February. The student must be enrolled in a public high school in one of the participating school divisions to attend. The satisfactory completion of all the math and science prerequisites prior to the fall semester is required.
Option I: Physics/Engineering Focus
- Prerequisites: Math Analysis
Option II: Biology/Life Science Focus
- Prerequisites: Algebra II, General Biology
- Co-requisites: Chemistry, Math Analysis

As a prospective student, you and your parents are invited to attend a Mountain Vista Governor's School open house at the Lord Fairfax Community College campus nearest you. The 2013 informational meetings will be held on February 4 (Middletown) and February 5 (Warrenton) at 7:00pm.
