Prospective Students

Students wishing to enroll at Mountain Vista Governor's School must submit an application and be accepted by their local school division selection committee.  The student must be enrolled in a public high school in one of the participating school divisions to attend. The satisfactory completion of all the math and science prerequisites prior to the fall semester is required.

SCIENCE:
Recommended: Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry

MATHEMATICS:
Required: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus/Math Analysis

Application packets are available from base high school guidance counselors or local school division GT Coordinators. Application packets may also be downloaded from local school division websites:

As a prospective student, you and your parents are invited to attend a Mountain Vista Governor's School open house at the Lord Fairfax Community College campus nearest you. The dates for the 2011 MVGS open houses will be posted as they become available in late fall.
